Large-scale industrial equipment structural protection, super thick sealing gaskets, high-load mechanical buffer parts and integral insulation components have extremely strict requirements on material density, structural compactness and mechanical bearing capacity. Ordinary low-density PTFE plates have loose internal structure, many tiny pores, low compression resistance and easy creep deformation, which cannot adapt to heavy-load and high-pressure working conditions. High density PTFE molded slab is a high-performance thick plate material formed by secondary high-pressure compression and constant-temperature integral sintering. It has ultra-high density, extremely compact internal structure, excellent mechanical stability and anti-creep performance, and is a key heavy-duty functional material in high-end industrial fields PTFE SHEET.
The biggest feature of high density molded slab is ultra-compact internal structure and ultra-low porosity. Through precise pressure control and gradient temperature sintering process, the PTFE resin particles are fully fused and tightly stacked, eliminating internal tiny pores, gaps and loose layers existing in ordinary molded plates. The overall density of the material is significantly higher than conventional PTFE sheets, which greatly improves the compression resistance, impact resistance and structural rigidity of the slab. Under long-term high-pressure load and mechanical impact, the high-density slab will not produce compression settlement and permanent deformation, and effectively resist structural damage caused by mechanical stress, solving the industry problem of easy deformation and failure of ordinary PTFE structural plates.
In terms of environmental adaptability and functional performance, high density molded PTFE slab has more stable comprehensive performance than ordinary plates. The compact structure further enhances the material’s barrier performance, completely blocking the penetration of moisture, corrosive gas and liquid media, and improving the anti-corrosion and anti-seepage ability of equipment lining. It has excellent high-temperature dimensional stability, no thermal expansion and contraction deformation in high-temperature working environments, and stable structural size. Its excellent low-temperature toughness ensures no brittle cracking in ultra-low temperature environments. In addition, the high-density structure makes the dielectric distribution more uniform, further improving the dielectric strength and insulation stability of the material, which is more suitable for high-voltage heavy-duty insulation scenarios.
In engineering applications, high density molded slabs can be matched with PTFE TUBE and other high-density PTFE profiles to build high-strength anti-corrosion, anti-pressure and insulation protection systems. It is mainly used for super-thick anti-corrosion lining of large chemical storage tanks, high-pressure equipment integral sealing gaskets, heavy mechanical equipment buffer support plates, high-voltage power equipment overall insulation slabs and marine environmental protection equipment anti-corrosion structural parts. The high-density structural characteristics ensure that the material can maintain stable performance in harsh working conditions such as heavy load, high pressure, high temperature and strong corrosion for a long time.
