PTFE molded sheet glass filled molded PTFE

Pure PTFE molded sheets have excellent anti-stick, anti-corrosion and insulation properties, but their defects of low hardness, poor wear resistance and easy creep deformation under long-term load limit their application in heavy-load friction and mechanical wear working conditions. In order to optimize the mechanical performance of PTFE materials, glass fiber filled modified technology is widely used in high-performance PTFE molding production. PTFE molded sheet glass filled molded PTFE is a composite modified PTFE plate formed by adding high-purity glass fiber filler into PTFE resin through uniform mixing, high-pressure compression molding and high-temperature integral sintering, which greatly improves the mechanical strength and wear resistance of the material on the basis of retaining PTFE’s excellent basic properties PTFE SHEET.

The glass fiber filler adopted in the product is high-purity alkali-free glass fiber with stable chemical performance and fine particle size, which is evenly dispersed in the PTFE molecular matrix after professional mixing treatment, avoiding agglomeration and uneven distribution. The rigid glass fiber forms a stable skeleton structure inside the PTFE material, which significantly improves the hardness, compression resistance, tensile strength and anti-creep performance of the molded plate. Compared with pure PTFE sheets, glass-filled PTFE molded plates have 2-3 times higher wear resistance, stronger resistance to long-term pressure deformation, and effectively solve the problem of cold flow and creep failure of pure PTFE materials under heavy mechanical load.

While optimizing mechanical properties, glass-filled molded PTFE still retains most of the excellent comprehensive properties of pure PTFE materials. It has good chemical corrosion resistance, can resist the erosion of most acid, alkali and organic solvent media, and is suitable for chemical industrial working environments. The material maintains a wide temperature adaptation range of -200°C to 260°C, with stable structural performance at high temperature and no brittle failure at low temperature. It still has excellent electrical insulation performance, which can meet the insulation protection requirements of conventional high-voltage electrical equipment. In addition, the glass fiber filling improves the dimensional stability of the material, making it not easy to deform during mechanical processing and long-term use.

In industrial application scenarios, glass-filled PTFE molded sheets are often matched with PTFE TUBE modified accessories to form wear-resistant and anti-deformation industrial structural systems. They are widely used in mechanical friction parts, heavy-load equipment sealing gaskets, chemical mechanical pump valve linings, conveyor equipment anti-wear base plates and general electrical insulation structural parts. In mechanical equipment operation scenarios with frequent friction and long-term load, glass-filled PTFE plates can effectively reduce component wear, extend the service life of mechanical parts, and reduce equipment maintenance and replacement costs.

As industrial mechanical equipment develops towards high load and long-cycle operation, the requirements for wear resistance and structural stability of polymer structural materials are increasingly strict. Pure PTFE materials can no longer meet the mechanical performance requirements of heavy-duty working conditions. Glass-filled molded PTFE sheets perfectly balance the anti-corrosion, insulation advantages of PTFE and the wear-resistant and anti-deformation characteristics of glass fiber, becoming the preferred composite material for medium and heavy-load industrial mechanical structural parts. It provides stable and durable material support for the long-term operation of industrial mechanical equipment.
