Ultra-high voltage power transmission is the core of modern power grid construction, undertaking the task of long-distance, large-capacity, and high-efficiency power transmission. In outdoor high-voltage power transmission scenarios, cables need to resist extreme weather such as high temperature, low temperature, rain and snow, ultraviolet radiation, and humid corrosion. PTFE cables have excellent all-weather environmental adaptability, with super hydrophobicity, ultraviolet resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance. They will not absorb moisture and damp in rainy and humid environments, maintaining stable high-voltage insulation performance; they will not age and deteriorate under long-term ultraviolet radiation, solving the problem of outdoor aging failure of traditional high-voltage cables.
PTFE high-voltage cables also have excellent arc resistance and lightning impulse resistance, which can resist arc ablation caused by instantaneous short circuit and lightning strike impact, protecting the safety of high-voltage transmission lines and power grid equipment. Their low dielectric loss performance can effectively reduce power transmission loss and improve the energy transmission efficiency of high-voltage power grids. In addition, PTFE cables have long service life and low maintenance rate, which can greatly reduce the operation and maintenance cost of high-voltage power transmission systems.
