Compressible PTFE Gasket Material for Leak-Proof Flange Seals

Flange sealing is the most common connection and sealing form in industrial pipeline and equipment systems. The flatness error of flange surfaces, assembly gaps, equipment vibration, and pressure fluctuation often lead to poor fitting of traditional rigid gaskets and permanent deformation of soft gaskets, resulting in persistent flange leakage. Compressible PTFE gasket materials are designed with optimized flexible molecular structure and micro-porous compression technology, combining excellent compressibility, elastic recovery, and stable sealing performance, perfectly solving the leak-proof sealing problem of industrial flanges PTFE SHEET.

Different from ordinary dense PTFE materials with poor flexibility, compressible PTFE gaskets adopt expanded micro-porous structure molding technology. The internal uniform micro-pores endow the material with excellent compression deformability, which can automatically adapt to flange surface unevenness, tiny gaps, and assembly errors. Under bolt tightening pressure, the gasket can be evenly compressed to fill all tiny gaps on the flange fitting surface, realizing zero-gap sealing. Traditional soft sealing materials such as rubber and cork gaskets are prone to excessive compression and permanent collapse under high bolt torque, leading to insufficient sealing pressure and medium leakage. Rigid metal gaskets cannot adapt to tiny flange gaps and have poor buffering performance. Compressible PTFE gaskets have moderate hardness and controllable compression rate, which can achieve precise compression sealing without excessive deformation. Matched with PTFE TUBE auxiliary sealing parts, the overall flange sealing system forms a flexible and stable sealing structure, which can buffer mechanical stress and pressure impact during equipment operation.

In terms of long-term sealing stability, compressible PTFE gaskets have ultra-low compression creep performance. Under long-term static compression and dynamic alternating pressure of industrial flanges, the material will not produce permanent creep deformation, maintaining stable sealing compression for a long time. It avoids the common problems of traditional gaskets such as gradual stress relaxation, sealing failure after long-term use, and frequent replacement. At the same time, the material retains the inherent chemical resistance and temperature adaptability of PTFE, ensuring that the compression and sealing performance will not be attenuated by medium corrosion and temperature changes.

Compressible PTFE leak-proof flange gaskets are widely used in various industrial flange connection scenarios, including low-pressure and medium-pressure pipeline flanges, equipment shell flanges, container port flanges, and environmental protection equipment connection flanges. Whether in static stable operation environments or dynamic vibration working conditions, the gaskets can maintain 100% leak-proof sealing effect.
