Automotive fluid systems including fuel supply systems, brake fluid pipelines, cooling circulation systems and lubricating oil circuits face complex and variable working conditions, with temperature ranging from ultra-low cold environment in winter to high-temperature engine heat environment, and need to resist the erosion of various automotive fluids such as gasoline, diesel, brake fluid and coolant. Traditional automotive rubber O-rings are prone to swelling, aging and leakage due to single temperature resistance and poor medium adaptability. Wide-temperature PTFE O-rings are specially developed for automotive fluid system sealing, with ultra-wide temperature adaptability and universal fluid resistance PTFE TUBE.
Wide-temperature PTFE O-rings have a working temperature range covering -200°C to 260°C, which fully adapts to the full-temperature operating environment of automobiles. In high-altitude and northern low-temperature regions, it will not harden and fail due to low temperature, ensuring the smooth circulation and sealing stability of automotive fluid systems in cold winter. In engine compartment high-temperature environments and long-term driving heat accumulation conditions, it can resist high-temperature aging and thermal deformation, avoiding fluid leakage caused by high-temperature failure of traditional seals. This full-temperature stable performance solves the seasonal failure problem of traditional automotive sealing components.
Automotive fluid systems contain a variety of organic fluids and chemical additives, which are easy to corrode and swell ordinary elastomer seals. PTFE O-rings made of high-purity PTFE SHEET materials have excellent resistance to automotive fluids, completely resisting the erosion of gasoline, diesel, engine oil, brake fluid, antifreeze coolant and cleaning agents. There is no swelling, shrinkage, cracking and performance degradation after long-term contact with various automotive media, maintaining stable sealing performance for a long time. It effectively avoids vehicle failures such as fuel leakage, brake fluid seepage and cooling system liquid leakage caused by sealing damage.
In terms of vehicle operating adaptability, wide-temperature PTFE O-rings have excellent vibration resistance and fatigue resistance. Automobiles will produce continuous vibration and jolt during driving, and fluid systems need to bear long-term vibration impact. PTFE O-rings have good structural toughness and compression stability, will not loosen and fail due to vibration fatigue, and maintain stable sealing tightness during long-term vehicle operation. At the same time, the ultra-low friction coefficient reduces the wear of fluid system moving parts, improves the smoothness of fluid circulation, and extends the service life of automotive fluid pipeline components.
Wide-temperature PTFE O-rings are widely used in automotive fuel pipeline seals, brake system port seals, engine cooling system gaskets, lubricating oil circuit connection seals and new energy vehicle thermal management fluid systems.
