Chemical inertness is another vital advantage of semiconductor-grade PTFE in cleanroom manufacturing. Semiconductor production involves a variety of high-purity corrosive chemicals, including strong acids, strong alkalis, and special etching solutions. Ordinary polymer materials will corrode, degrade, and precipitate impurities after contacting these chemical media, polluting cleanroom environments and wafers. Semiconductor-grade PTFE is completely chemically inert, does not react with any semiconductor process chemicals, and maintains stable structural and surface cleanliness for a long time. Precision-processed PTFE TUBE is widely used for high-purity chemical delivery pipelines in cleanrooms, ensuring zero pollution of process media.
In vacuum and plasma process environments, semiconductor-grade PTFE has excellent plasma erosion resistance and radiation resistance. Semiconductor etching and deposition processes require long-term plasma bombardment and vacuum environment operation. Traditional materials are easily eroded by plasma, resulting in surface carbonization and impurity precipitation. Semiconductor-grade PTFE has stable molecular structure, strong plasma resistance, no surface deterioration, and no harmful substance precipitation under long-term plasma action, protecting the ultra-clean environment of semiconductor processing chambers.
Semiconductor-grade PTFE is widely used in core cleanroom processes, including wafer fixing gaskets, vacuum chamber insulation parts, high-purity liquid delivery pipelines, cleanroom equipment sealing components, and semiconductor testing fixture accessories. These key components ensure the ultra-clean, pollution-free, and stable operation of the semiconductor manufacturing process, effectively improving chip yield and product consistency.
With the continuous advancement of semiconductor manufacturing technology to sub-10nm and even advanced process nodes, the requirements for cleanroom material performance are becoming increasingly strict. Semiconductor-grade PTFE, with its ultra-high cleanliness, low-outgassing performance, and extreme chemical stability, has become an indispensable strategic material for advanced semiconductor manufacturing, supporting the iterative upgrading of global chip manufacturing technology.
