Modern industrial mechanical equipment puts forward extremely strict requirements on the stability, continuity and maintenance cycle of bearing components. Traditional metal bearings and ordinary plastic sliding bearings rely heavily on external grease or oil lubrication systems. Long-term operation will lead to lubricant volatilization, aging, pollution and failure, resulting in increased friction coefficient, component wear, equipment jitter and even shutdown failure. The core advantage of self-lubricating PTFE sliding bearings lies in the unique molecular structure of PTFE materials. The fluorocarbon molecular chain forms an extremely smooth surface with ultra-low surface energy, which endows the bearing with permanent self-lubricating performance without relying on any external lubricating oil or grease. During the sliding friction process, a uniform and stable micro-transfer film will be formed between the PTFE bearing surface and the matching metal shaft surface. This nano-level thin film can continuously isolate direct contact between metal structures, maintain an extremely low friction coefficient for a long time, and effectively reduce sliding resistance and mechanical operation energy consumption. Industrial application scenarios are diverse and complex, including high-temperature production workshops, dusty processing environments, humid water vapor workshops and chemical corrosive working conditions, which test the comprehensive performance of bearing components. Self-lubricating PTFE sliding bearings have excellent environmental adaptability that traditional bearings cannot match. They can work stably in the temperature range of -200°C to 260°C, maintaining stable self-lubricating and anti-wear performance in both ultra-low temperature freezing environments and long-term high-temperature operating conditions. At the same time, PTFE materials have excellent chemical inertness, resisting corrosion from acid, alkali, salt mist and various industrial chemical agents, and will not rust, corrode or deteriorate like metal bearings. In dusty and impurity-rich working environments, the smooth non-stick surface of PTFE bearings is not easy to accumulate dust and sundries, avoiding abrasive wear caused by impurity embedding PTFE TUBE.
In terms of industrial operation and maintenance cost control, self-lubricating PTFE sliding bearings bring huge economic benefits to mechanical equipment operation. Traditional bearings need regular shutdown oiling, grease replacement and cleaning maintenance, which not only consumes a lot of labor and lubricant costs, but also interrupts continuous production and reduces enterprise operation efficiency. Self-lubricating PTFE bearings realize real maintenance-free operation throughout the whole life cycle, eliminating the need for daily lubrication maintenance, greatly reducing equipment operation and maintenance costs, and improving the continuous operating rate of industrial production lines. In addition, the stable self-lubricating anti-wear performance effectively reduces the wear loss of bearings and matching shafts, extends the service life of mechanical moving parts, and reduces the frequency of equipment replacement and failure maintenance.
