PTFE skived sheet dielectric insulating film

With the rapid development of high-voltage electrical equipment, electronic communication equipment, new energy power systems and precision electrical devices, the requirements for insulation materials’ dielectric strength, insulation stability and environmental adaptability are increasingly strict. Traditional insulating films such as PVC film, PE film and ordinary polyester film have low dielectric strength, large dielectric loss and poor temperature resistance, which are easy to have insulation breakdown and performance failure under high-voltage and high-frequency electrical stress. PTFE skived sheet dielectric insulating film, relying on the excellent electrical insulation performance of PTFE materials and precision skiving process, has become a high-performance insulating film specially used for high-voltage and precision electrical equipment PTFE SHEET.

PTFE skived dielectric insulating film has ultra-high dielectric strength and ultra-low dielectric loss, which is the core advantage of electrical insulation. The material has a dielectric strength of up to 60kV/mm, which can withstand strong high-voltage electric field impact without breakdown, far exceeding the insulation performance of ordinary polymer insulating films. Its dielectric constant is stable at about 2.0, with extremely low dielectric loss tangent, and will not generate heat accumulation and insulation aging under high-frequency alternating current and high-voltage working conditions. The precision skiving process ensures uniform film thickness and dense internal structure, no pores and impurities that easily cause electric field concentration, realizing uniform and stable electric field resistance of the whole film and avoiding local insulation breakdown.

This dielectric insulating film has excellent extreme environmental adaptability, solving the problem of poor temperature resistance of traditional insulating materials. It can maintain stable dielectric performance and insulation strength in the temperature range of -200°C to 260°C, without insulation failure caused by high-temperature thermal aging and low-temperature cold brittleness. In humid, dusty and polluted industrial environments, PTFE’s super hydrophobicity and chemical inertness prevent moisture and corrosive media from invading the insulation layer, ensuring long-term stable insulation performance. Different from traditional insulating films that are easy to absorb moisture and reduce insulation resistance, PTFE skived film has zero water absorption and permanent insulation stability.

In electrical system matching applications, PTFE skived dielectric insulating film is widely used with PTFE TUBE insulating sleeves to form a complete high-voltage insulation protection system. It is mainly used for internal insulation of high-voltage transformers, insulation isolation of electronic components, high-frequency circuit board insulation protection, new energy battery insulation isolation, power equipment gap insulation and aerospace electrical device insulation protection. The uniform and stable dielectric performance ensures the safe and stable operation of high-precision and high-voltage electrical equipment, avoiding electrical faults such as partial discharge, electric leakage and insulation breakdown.

A large number of electrical performance tests and engineering applications prove that PTFE skived dielectric insulating film has far better long-term insulation stability than traditional insulating films, with a service life more than 3 times longer than ordinary insulating materials. It can maintain stable dielectric performance under long-term high-voltage, high-frequency and extreme environmental working conditions, greatly reducing the failure rate of electrical equipment insulation systems. With the continuous upgrading of high-voltage power systems and precision electronic equipment, PTFE skived sheet dielectric insulating film will become the mainstream high-performance insulation material in the electrical insulation industry, providing reliable safety guarantee for the operation of modern electrical and electronic equipment.
