PTFE skived sheet creep resistant sealing layer

Long-term static pressure, high-temperature continuous operation and alternating mechanical stress in industrial flange sealing, pipeline connection and equipment gap sealing will easily cause ordinary polymer sealing materials to produce creep deformation, resulting in gradual gap expansion, medium leakage and sealing system failure. Creep resistance has become one of the core indicators to measure the long-term service life of high-end industrial sealing layers. PTFE skived sheet creep resistant sealing layer is manufactured by high-purity sintering and precise micro-control skiving technology, which effectively improves the dimensional stability and anti-deformation ability of PTFE materials under long-term load, solving the common creep failure problem of traditional soft sealing materials PTFE SHEET.

Ordinary ordinary-grade PTFE gaskets and films are prone to cold flow and creep under long-term pressure, especially in high-temperature working environments. The molecular chain is easy to relax and displace, resulting in permanent compression deformation, thinning of the sealing layer and loose fitting gaps. The optimized creep-resistant PTFE skived sheet adopts high-density integral sintered blank and precision layered skiving process. The internal molecular structure is more compact and uniform, with extremely stable structural rigidity and anti-relaxation ability. Under long-term high-pressure load and continuous high-temperature working conditions, the material can maintain stable thickness and shape, effectively inhibit creep deformation and cold flow phenomenon, and ensure long-term zero-leakage sealing state of equipment joints.

In addition to excellent creep resistance, this professional sealing layer retains the full advantages of PTFE materials such as chemical corrosion resistance, high and low temperature resistance and anti-aging performance. It can resist the corrosion of strong acid, strong alkali, organic solvent and salt medium in chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and environmental protection industries, and will not swell, dissolve or age and crack. The material can work stably for a long time in the temperature range of -200°C to 260°C, and the sealing performance will not attenuate due to temperature change and long-term stress accumulation. Its excellent compression resilience enables it to adapt to slight mechanical vibration and equipment thermal expansion and contraction, avoiding sealing failure caused by gap fluctuation.

In industrial sealing system matching, creep-resistant PTFE skived sealing layers can be used alone as high-precision flat gaskets, or combined with PTFE TUBE sealing sleeves and special-shaped sealing parts to form a comprehensive anti-creep and anti-corrosion sealing system. It is widely used in high-pressure pipeline flange sealing, chemical reaction kettle port sealing, thermal power equipment high-temperature joint sealing and long-term static sealing of precision instrument components. Different from rubber and asbestos gaskets which need frequent replacement due to creep aging, PTFE creep-resistant sealing layer has a service life several times that of traditional materials, greatly reducing equipment downtime and maintenance costs.

With the development of industrial equipment towards high pressure, high temperature and long-cycle continuous operation, the requirements for long-term stability of sealing systems are increasingly stringent. Creep deformation failure has always been the main hidden danger of industrial sealing safety.
