PTFE Packing Materials for High-Temperature Service

High-temperature service environments such as industrial high-temperature reaction, steam heat transmission, thermal power generation and high-temperature baking equipment put forward severe tests on the heat resistance and thermal stability of sealing materials. Traditional sealing packing such as rubber, cotton and ordinary fiber will age, soften, melt and carbonize rapidly above 150°C, resulting in complete failure of sealing performance. PTFE packing materials are specially developed for high-temperature working conditions, with excellent high-temperature resistance and thermal aging stability, and are the core sealing materials for long-term high-temperature industrial service PTFE SHEET.

PTFE packing has a maximum continuous working temperature of 260°C and can withstand instantaneous high-temperature impact above 300°C, which far exceeds the temperature resistance limit of most industrial sealing materials. Under long-term high-temperature operation, its molecular structure remains stable, no thermal decomposition, no carbonization and no performance attenuation. It can maintain stable compression resilience and sealing tightness in high-temperature environments, avoiding sealing failure caused by thermal deformation and aging of traditional materials. This excellent high-temperature stability ensures the continuous and stable operation of high-temperature industrial equipment.

In high-temperature working conditions, sealing materials are also prone to oxidation damage and medium erosion. PTFE packing has excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance and chemical stability, and will not undergo oxidative aging in high-temperature air environment. It can resist the erosion of high-temperature steam, high-temperature oil fume and high-temperature chemical medium, and maintain structural integrity and sealing performance for a long time. Matched with high-temperature resistant PTFE TUBE accessories, it forms a complete high-temperature resistant sealing system, fully adapting to various complex high-temperature industrial scenarios.

Different from other high-temperature sealing materials such as graphite packing which are easy to fall off and pollute media, PTFE packing has smooth surface and stable structure at high temperature, no powder falling and no impurity precipitation, which will not pollute high-temperature process media and equipment interiors. It is very suitable for high-purity production scenarios such as food high-temperature processing and pharmaceutical high-temperature sterilization, realizing high-temperature sealing and pollution-free production double guarantee. In addition, PTFE packing has good high-temperature friction resistance, which can resist dynamic friction wear in high-temperature environments and extend the service life of high-temperature dynamic sealing equipment.
