Nuclear energy industry belongs to the highest-level safety supervision industry in the world, and all materials used in nuclear power facilities must comply with strict international and industry nuclear-grade certification standards. As a key core material of nuclear power equipment, nuclear grade PTFE has a complete set of rigorous compliance specifications in terms of material purity, radiation resistance, mechanical performance, environmental adaptability and safety indicators. All nuclear grade PTFE products must pass standardized testing and certification to ensure that they meet the safety operation requirements of nuclear systems PTFE SHEET.
In terms of material purity standards, nuclear grade PTFE needs to meet ultra-high purity specifications formulated by international nuclear energy institutions, including zero residual harmful additives, ultra-low volatile content, zero heavy metal precipitation and ultra-low particulate shedding. Compared with industrial-grade PTFE standards, nuclear-grade standards have improved dozens of indicator thresholds, strictly limiting trace impurities that may cause nuclear system pollution and radiation degradation. All production and processing links must comply with dust-free purification standards to ensure that the material purity does not decrease in the processing process.
Radiation resistance compliance is the core assessment index of nuclear grade PTFE. The material must pass long-term gamma radiation and neutron radiation aging tests specified by nuclear industry standards, and the mechanical properties, insulation properties and structural stability after irradiation must be within the qualified fluctuation range without obvious failure attenuation. At the same time, it is necessary to meet the low activation standard of nuclear materials, ensuring that no long-life radioactive pollutants are generated after irradiation, which meets the requirements of nuclear environmental protection and waste disposal. All compliant nuclear grade PTFE TUBE and profile products are marked with complete nuclear-grade certification files and batch test reports.
In terms of environmental adaptability and performance compliance, nuclear grade PTFE needs to meet extreme temperature cycle test, high-pressure aging test, chemical medium corrosion test and long-term fatigue test. It must maintain stable performance in the temperature range of -200°C to 260°C, and have excellent sealing stability and insulation reliability under the coupled action of high temperature, high pressure and radiation. In addition, nuclear grade PTFE must comply with nuclear fire protection and anti-pollution standards, with non-flammable, low smoke and non-toxic characteristics, avoiding secondary disasters caused by material combustion in nuclear accidents.
Strict compliance standards constitute the safety bottom line of nuclear grade PTFE applications. All qualified nuclear grade PTFE materials are traceable in batches, with complete production records, test data and certification documents. With the continuous update of international nuclear safety standards, the performance indicators and testing specifications of nuclear grade PTFE are also continuously upgraded, ensuring that the materials always meet the highest safety requirements of modern nuclear power systems and escorting the standardized and safe development of the nuclear energy industry.
