Mechanical friction loss is one of the main energy consumption sources in automobile operation, which not only increases vehicle fuel consumption and power loss, but also causes wear and aging of moving parts, shortening the service life of automotive components. In OEM mass production applications, PTFE friction reduction components include PTFE friction gaskets, self-lubricating liners, friction buffer sleeves and customized friction reduction parts. High-precision PTFE TUBE lining parts are used in automobile transmission shafts and movable connecting rods, reducing the sliding friction resistance of mechanical rotation and telescopic movement. PTFE sheet friction parts are applied to chassis suspension buffer structures and brake movable parts, effectively eliminating friction noise and improving vehicle driving comfort.
Different from traditional lubricating oil friction reduction which is easy to fail due to oil loss and aging, PTFE solid self-lubricating friction reduction is permanent and stable. It will not lose friction reduction performance due to high-temperature volatilization, dust pollution and long-term operation. Even in extreme working conditions such as high temperature, low temperature and dusty road environment, PTFE friction reduction components can maintain stable self-lubricating performance. At the same time, PTFE has excellent wear resistance and pressure resistance, which can withstand long-term high-load friction impact without structural damage and performance attenuation.
Practical vehicle test data shows that after adopting PTFE OEM friction reduction technology, the overall mechanical friction loss of the vehicle is reduced by more than 25%, the fuel economy of the vehicle is significantly improved, and the service life of moving mechanical parts is extended by more than 60%. With the continuous improvement of automobile energy-saving and noise reduction requirements, PTFE friction reduction technology has become a key optimization technology for automobile OEM design, providing important technical support for energy-saving, low-noise and long-life operation of modern automobiles.
