Battery modules are composed of multiple single cells connected in series and parallel, which is the core power unit of the battery system. The sealing performance between battery modules and between modules and shells directly affects the overall waterproof, dustproof, insulation and anti-corrosion capabilities of the battery pack. Traditional battery module gaskets are mostly made of ordinary rubber and foam materials, which have problems such as poor compression uniformity, easy aging failure, and insufficient electrolyte corrosion resistance, leading to poor module sealing consistency and hidden safety hazards. Optimized PTFE gaskets are specially developed for battery module sealing scenarios. Through material formula optimization and process upgrading, they achieve high-precision, high-stability and long-life reliable sealing for battery modules PTFE SHEET.
The optimized PTFE gasket adopts modified high-density PTFE formula and precision skived molding process, which makes the gasket thickness uniform, flat in surface and stable in density, completely solving the problem of uneven compression and local gaps of traditional gaskets. The optimized molecular structure improves the compression resilience and structural stability of the gasket. Under the standard assembly compression amount of battery modules, the gasket can maintain uniform stress and tight fitting, and will not produce local gap leakage due to uneven stress. After long-term charge and discharge cycles and temperature alternating impact, the optimized PTFE gasket has almost no permanent deformation, maintaining consistent sealing performance for a long time.
In battery module working environments, the internal space is narrow and closed, and there are volatile electrolyte gases and slight vibration impact for a long time. Optimized PTFE gaskets have excellent chemical inertness, which can resist the erosion and corrosion of battery electrolyte vapor, fluoride gas and other volatile media, avoiding gasket swelling, softening and failure. Its excellent vibration resistance and friction resistance can buffer the micro-vibration of battery modules during vehicle driving and equipment operation, preventing gasket displacement and sealing failure caused by long-term vibration friction PTFE TUBE.
In terms of safety and environmental adaptability, optimized PTFE gaskets have excellent low and high temperature resistance, adapting to the extreme temperature operating environment of battery modules from -40°C low temperature start to 85°C high temperature discharge. It will not embrittle and crack at low temperature, nor soften and deform at high temperature, ensuring stable sealing performance in full working temperature range. At the same time, PTFE gaskets have superior insulation performance, which can effectively isolate the electrical gap between battery modules, prevent mutual interference and short-circuit risks between modules, and improve the overall insulation safety of battery packs. In addition, the gaskets have zero water absorption and excellent dust-proof performance, which can effectively block fine dust and humid gas from entering the module gap, protecting the internal structural stability of battery modules.
At present, optimized PTFE gaskets have been widely used in the module sealing of vehicle power batteries, household energy storage batteries and industrial energy storage battery packs. Compared with traditional rubber gaskets, they have higher sealing reliability and longer service life, effectively reducing the failure rate of battery module sealing systems. With the continuous improvement of battery module integration and precision assembly standards, optimized PTFE gaskets will become the standard matching sealing parts for high-precision battery modules, providing reliable basic guarantee for the stable operation of battery systems.
