FDA compliance testing for PTFE is a series of professional and standardized safety detection experiments formulated in accordance with U.S. FDA 21 CFR Part 177.1550 regulations, which is the only authoritative basis for judging whether PTFE materials meet food contact and medical safety standards. The testing covers chemical safety, physical stability, and biological safety of PTFE materials, simulating various complex working conditions in actual food processing, pharmaceutical production, and medical application scenarios to verify whether the materials have toxic precipitation, contamination risks, and performance attenuation. In the testing process, professional spectral detection equipment is used to quantitatively analyze the heavy metal content of PTFE raw materials and finished products. All indicators must be lower than the FDA specified limit values to pass the compliance test. This testing item is applicable to all FDA-grade PTFE products including PTFE TUBE, sealing gaskets, and processing sheets.

Physical stability compliance testing verifies the environmental adaptability of PTFE materials under actual working conditions, including high-temperature aging testing, low-temperature brittle testing, and repeated cleaning fatigue testing. High-temperature aging testing simulates long-term high-temperature operation of food processing equipment to detect whether PTFE materials have deformation, aging, and impurity precipitation after continuous high-temperature baking. Low-temperature testing verifies the structural stability of materials in food cold storage and low-temperature processing environments. Repeated cleaning testing simulates high-frequency disinfection and cleaning of production equipment to ensure that PTFE materials will not have performance attenuation and safety hazards after long-term repeated use.

Biological safety and microbial testing are essential testing items for medical-grade and high-end food-grade PTFE. The testing includes microbial limit detection, bacterial adhesion test, and biological toxicity test. Microbial detection verifies whether the surface of PTFE materials is easy to breed bacteria and molds, ensuring the hygienic safety of food and drug contact. Biological toxicity test is aimed at medical-grade PTFE materials to verify that the materials have no cytotoxicity and biological irritation when contacting human tissues, meeting the safety requirements of medical device application scenarios.

All FDA compliance testing for PTFE must be completed by third-party authoritative testing institutions recognized by the FDA, and the test reports have international universal certification effectiveness. Enterprises need to conduct batch sampling testing for each batch of PTFE products to ensure the consistency of batch compliance indicators.
