Sealing performance is one of the key core indicators of automotive OEM component quality, which directly affects the safety, stability and service life of vehicles. Automotive systems such as engine oil circuits, fuel systems, brake systems, cooling systems and chassis air circuits require high-precision and high-stability sealing structures. Traditional rubber sealing technology is prone to aging, swelling, deformation and leakage under long-term high-temperature oil immersion and alternating cold and hot environments, which can easily cause vehicle oil leakage, air leakage and power failure. Automotive OEM PTFE sealing technology is a new generation of high-reliability sealing solution developed for the pain points of traditional automotive sealing, which has become the mainstream sealing technology for high-end automobile original supporting parts PTFE SHEET.
The technical advantages of automotive OEM PTFE sealing are based on the unique physical and chemical properties of PTFE materials. PTFE has absolute chemical inertness and will not swell, dissolve or deteriorate when encountering gasoline, diesel, engine oil, brake fluid, antifreeze and other automotive media. It completely solves the problem of medium corrosion failure of traditional rubber seals. At the same time, PTFE has excellent high and low temperature resistance, maintaining stable sealing elasticity and structural tightness in the range of -200°C to 260°C, avoiding sealing failure caused by thermal expansion and cold contraction of materials in extreme temperature environments.
In OEM mass production applications, PTFE sealing technology covers diversified sealing product forms, including PTFE flat sealing gaskets, special-shaped sealing rings, pipeline sealing sleeves and composite sealing components. Among them, high-precision PTFE TUBE matching sealing parts are widely used in automobile fluid pipeline interfaces. The precise size and excellent fitting performance ensure zero gap sealing of pipeline connections, effectively preventing oil and gas leakage in vehicle operation. The optimized expanded PTFE sealing sheet has good compression resilience, which can adapt to the vibration and displacement of automotive components during driving, and maintain long-term stable sealing performance.
Different from traditional sealing technology that relies on material elasticity for single sealing, automotive OEM PTFE sealing technology adopts composite structural optimization design, combining the high tightness of PTFE material with structural buffer performance, which can resist mechanical vibration, pressure impact and temperature alternating stress during vehicle operation. After long-term road test verification, PTFE sealing components have no leakage failure after 100,000 kilometers of vehicle driving, and the sealing performance attenuation is almost zero, which is far better than traditional rubber sealing products. In addition, PTFE sealing technology has no aging and hardening problems, and the service life is more than twice that of traditional sealing technology.
At present, automotive OEM PTFE sealing technology has been widely used in passenger cars, commercial vehicles and new energy vehicles, and has become the standard sealing process for major automobile OEMs. With the continuous improvement of vehicle safety standards and durability requirements, PTFE high-reliability sealing technology will further replace traditional sealing solutions and provide solid technical support for the improvement of overall vehicle quality.
